River Cleaning

We were inspired to start river cleaning in a simple and meaningful way. Here are some possible reasons: 1. Love for Nature – Seeing the beauty of rivers and wanting to protect them. 2. Pollution Problem – Noticing garbage and plastic harming the water and wildlife. 3.Health Concerns – Understanding that dirty water affects people’s health. 4. Community Effort – Wanting to inspire others to take care of the environment.

We the scout leaders and scout members of Khangkhu MSS, Paro Dzongkhag joined the cleaning of river stream to marked the world water Day on 22/03/2025. Leaders: 10 Members: 76 Hours: 4 Hours We gather at two different place to clean the river side in Wangchang gewog.

Here are some lessons I have learned from river-cleaning project: Teamwork is Powerful – Cleaning a river is easier and more effective when people work together. Small Actions Make a Big Difference – Even small efforts, like picking up trash, can improve the environment. Awareness is Important – Many people don’t realize the impact of pollution until they see it first-hand.
