Rhinos Reduing hunger

As a patrol, we were motivated to take part in the Mandela Day "Bags of Hope" project because we want to make a real difference in our community. Working together to create something as simple as soup mix is our way of spreading warmth, hope, and the spirit of service that Mandela day and scouts stand for

The project was planned by our Patrol Leader in response to the Mandela Day call to action from Scouts South Africa. which also outlined what needed to go into each soup mix bag. Each patrol member prepared the bags individually at home using their own ingredients, and together we managed to make 50 Bags of Hope. Our PL personally delivered them to Hope South Afica, where they were warmly received. Taking part in this proiect made us feel proud and happy to serve others in Mandela's spirit

We learned that teamwork dloesn't always mean working side by side. By each doing our part individually, we still achieved something meaningful together. This project showed us that even small actions when combined, can make a big difference.
