Recycling Habits

Creating a Habit of Recycling in our Actions

Raising awareness of the importance of environmental care and protection. Creating the habit of always being conscious of how we treat the environment. Doing so by scouts including the action of recycling in their normal scouting activities. Creating and enforcing the model of "Leaving a place better than we found it" to our community and to each other.

Activites:

HIKE - 23rd February 2019 - 7:30am to 2:00pm - Mt St. Benedict - 14 Scouts (Introducing this concept wasn't as simple due to the culture not being one of recycling. Along with encouraging youth to pick up trash that they did not put there in the first place was a lesson to be taught by everyone. Despite the fact that we did not cause the negativity (garbage) in the community, we have a duty to ensure that we display the right way by soldifying positivity and unity around us)

CAMP - 7th April 2019 to 10th April 2019 - Maracas Valley Community Centre - 14 Scouts

SPORTS DAY - 27th April 2019 - Tunapuna Boys' RC School - 100 Cubs / Scouts / Ventures / Parents
