The Power of Words - a DfP Project in Vietnam
Understanding how to communicate safely and effectively is especially important for scouts at adolescents age, who often work closely in teams. Without proper dialogue skills, misunderstandings can easily lead to conflicts, both within scouting activities and in everyday life. By learning about healthy communication, young members can begin to form a clear sense of what a safe and respectful dialogue environment looks like. For these reasons, this project was executed.
Our team members carefully studied the psychology and behavior of adolescents in order to design activities that would resonate with them. We integrated key communication lessons into engaging and relatable games, making the learning process both enjoyable and meaningful. After taking part in the project, many of them showed noticeable improvements in their attitudes and behaviors, demonstrating greater understanding, empathy, and respect in their interactions with others.
The project has showed us that even small changes in communication can create a positive impact, helping to build a more respectful and supportive environment.
