Plastic-Free Trisulia

The growing concern over single-use plastics and their harmful effects on health and the environment inspired us to take action. Witnessing the increasing plastic waste in our community, we felt compelled to raise awareness, educate locals, and clean the Trisulia Market. Our goal was to reduce plastic waste, promote sustainable practices, and create a cleaner, healthier environment for everyone.

We organized daily cleaning sessions at Trisulia Market, where 12 volunteers collected single-use plastics and disposed of them properly. Alongside the cleanup, we conducted awareness sessions for shopkeepers and local residents about the dangers of plastic waste. We used banners and interactive discussions to engage the community. The project ran for six days, with each volunteer dedicating two hours per day to the cause.

We learned the importance of community involvement and consistent engagement in environmental efforts. The project highlighted how awareness can drive behavioral change, and how small actions can have a significant impact when done collectively. We also realized the need for continued education on sustainable practices and the value of hands-on activities in motivating others to take responsibility for their surroundings.
