More than hundreds of people, including the people of Samtse as well as people across the boarder had participated in six kilometer peace walk on 2nd Oct, 2018 to commemorate 50 years of diplomatic relationship between Bhutan and India coinciding with the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. Two hour walk began by 8:30 am.
