Painting Stupa
We were inspired to start this project by the beautiful chorten in our school campus. We wanted to make it more attractive while learning about Bhutanese culture and traditional art. This project also gave us a chance to show our creativity, improve our painting skills, and work together as a team.
We executed the Stupa (Chorten) Painting project by first studying its traditional design and colours. We prepared the surface, applied a base coat, and carefully sketched the patterns. Then, we painted the chorten and added fine details. Finally, we corrected mistakes, allowed it to dry, and presented our completed work.
Throughout this project, students learned basic painting knowledge, including how to choose and mix colours, use brushes properly, and create neat designs. They also learned about Bhutanese traditional art and chorten designs. The project helped students improve their creativity, patience, teamwork, and painting skills.
