Oplan Baklas 2025
Oplan Baklas is a post-election initiative that actively engages Scouts in promoting civic responsibility and environmental cleanliness. The program empowers Scouts to remove tarpaulins, placards, and other election-related paraphernalia from public spaces, ensuring that communities are restored to order and free from campaign clutter. More than just a cleanup effort, Oplan Baklas instills values of active citizenship, environmental stewardship, and service to the community among young Scouts.
In a commendable display of civic responsibility and environmental awareness, Bugo National High School (NHS), under the leadership of BSP Coordinator Mr. Ellson A. Juntilla, Assistant Principal Mr. Arnold A. Lee, and Principal Dr. Judson M. Pastrano, mobilized 30 Senior Scouts to participate in a post-election cleanup drive. As a result of their collective efforts, 16 full sacks—amounting to a total of 52 kilograms—of election paraphernalia were successfully removed from public areas. This initiative not only helped restore cleanliness in the community but also reinforced the values of active citizenship, environmental stewardship, and youth engagement in nation-building.
This meaningful activity aimed to restore cleanliness, promote environmental responsibility, and uphold the values of active citizenship after the election season. Through their collective effort, the scouts demonstrated their commitment to public service, discipline, and national pride.
