World Consumer Rights day was initiated with US President John F. Kennedy’s speech on Consumer Rights on 15th March, 1962. Later on, some consumer activists proposed that date to promote consumer rights, respect and protect them and since 15th March, 1983 this day is annually celebrated as World Consumer Right’s Day. World Consumer Rights Day is celebrated to make all the consumers aware of their rights and protect consumer rights.
