To meet this requirement I am with the USM team in collaboration with the Penang Scout Association and the Metro Tasek Gelugor Polytechnic has organized a project called "Merdeka Walk & Clean Up The World 2017". This is a clean-up program in the Teluk Bahang National Park, Penang. The program is implemented on 24 September 2017 from 8am to 12 noon. A total of 180 participants joined the program consisting of primary school students, students from Metro Tasek Gelugor Polytechnic and USM Student Groups. Initially, we are divided into several groups for the division of cleaning tasks on different beaches. For example, a group of USM scholarships were asked to clean the beach at CEMAC-USM, a group of Metro Tasek Gelugor Polytechnic at Monkey Beach Beach, school students at Kerachut Beach and others. We were assigned to pick up garbage and clean up the beach environment where students would carry a plastic bag for garbage collection purposes. This program received a good response from the university itself and from the local community. The program ended successfully with the closing ceremony, the speech of the top Penang Scout Association, submission of certificate of participation and luncheon.
