Marine Education and Conservation Activities

Seeing the beach full of trash made me want to do something to reduce marine waste. After discussing with the troop leader, we decided to organize a beach cleanup event, which would take place at Fengkeng Sand Bay, the location we had surveyed.

On the day of the cleanup, everyone worked hard to pick up all the visible trash. To our surprise, areas covered by sand that were not immediately obvious turned out to have large amounts of waste hidden underneath. This shows that the waste had been there for a long time. Thanks to the teamwork, looking at the bags of sorted and organized waste, I felt a sense of accomplishment knowing I had contributed to protecting the ocean.

This beach cleanup was not only an environmental action but also a lesson in responsibility and reflection. It made me realize that environmental protection is not just a slogan; it requires consistent practice. I hope to continue organizing more events like this in the future, not just to protect the ocean but to involve more people in personally helping to safeguard our beautiful environment.
