Making Woodland Stairs Safer for Visitors

Making Woodland Stairs Safer for Visitors

The wooden trails in the Phinizy Swamp Natural Trails become slick with humidity and pose a risk to the many visitors to the wetland area. Three boys and two adult leaders from the Pack 2010 Webelos Den dedicated two hours cleaning off wooden steps from dirt and overgrowth before applying non-slip strips to each stair. They demonstrated great teamwork and Scout spirit in the Georgia summer heat.
