"Let Cleanliness Start with Me"
As a scout, I believe that a clean environment leads to a healthy life. This project was inspired by my responsibility to serve the community and raise awareness about hygiene, sanitation, and sustainable living. I wanted to take the first step and inspire others to join the journey towards a cleaner and healthier world.
The cleanliness campaign was held from January 5th to 9th. We, 27 scout members, worked approximately 5 hours each day. We cleaned the school campus, surrounding areas, the market, and the Upazila Parishad intersection. We promoted awareness messages about the importance of cleanliness and encouraged local residents to participate. This project supports Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 3, 6, 11, and 13.
Through this project, we learned the power of teamwork, the importance of environmental responsibility, and how community awareness can lead to lasting change. It also gave us practical experience in planning, execution, and contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals.
