Harmony Through Cultural Show The Samtse Dzongkhag Scouts Association organized cultural show on 30th July – 1st August, 2017. The scouts from 13 schools staged different dances and items. The participating schools are Samtse HSS, Tendruk CS, Peljorling HSS, Dorokha CS, Yoeseltse MS, Gomtu MSS, Samtse LSS, Norbugang LSS, Sangngag choling LSS, Sherubgatshel LSS, Taba Dramtoe LSS, Denchukha LSS and Sendhyen LSS. The objective of conducting such cultural show is to preserve and promote our traditional dances and cultures. Many scouts have learnt different songs, dances and gained enough traditional skills of singing and dancing. The another objective is to provide platform for our scouts for build new friendship as they are from different schools. They learn from each other and share the ideas. Most of the scouts are from a very far flung remote schools, whereby such opportunity is seldom and their talents are hardly harnessed and appreciated. Therefore, this program provided good opportunity to show their talents and gain exposure to the modern world. The culture show was staged to public on first day i.e., on 30th July, to teacher trainees of Samtse college of education on 31st July and to students on 1st August, 2017. On the first day, Dasho Dzongda grace the show and Dasho was impressed with talents that our scouts have despite studying in remote schools. Dasho asked the students to study hard and keep scouting.
