Emergency Distribution of pads to girls residents.
To celebrate menstrual Day and also to support red dot campaign sherubtse UN club distributed pads to girls residents as a emergency measure during lockdown. This aims to provide help to those who are short of pads and also to support women's fight for equality and mainly to advocate that menstruation is somethings natural and we should not treat it as unnatural . For a sustainable development to take its form we cannot left half of its population and develop everything . Similarly women's contribution in economic, political and social development are greater and society should learn to embrace and celebrate physical differences to have inclusivity in a society and ultimately to have society with harmony and diversity in development.
There were 11 girls hostel in college and we could successfully distribute pads to all hostels with the enormous guidance from our motivating sherubtse UN unit coordinator and constant support from concern authority.
