"Dengue Prevention Awareness Campaign"
“The inspiration behind this project came from seeing the rise in dengue cases affecting many, including children and the elderly. It made me realize the importance of educating people about simple preventive measures like keeping surroundings clean and eliminating stagnant water. I felt a strong responsibility to protect my community, which motivated me to start this awareness campaign—because prevention begins with awareness.”
“As a Scout, I actively participated in a Dengue Prevention Awareness Campaign. We educated the community and schools about the risks of dengue and ways to prevent it. I took part in cleanliness drives to eliminate mosquito breeding sites and spread awareness through social media. Let’s all work together to protect ourselves and our families from dengue.”
Through this project, I learned the importance of community participation in disease prevention. I understood how crucial awareness and education are in reducing the spread of dengue. I also developed skills in teamwork, communication, and planning public health initiatives. Additionally, I realized how small actions, like removing stagnant water, can have a big impact on community health.
