Scouts, Guides, Rover and Rangers took part in the Pulse Polio Awareness campaign organised by SRC South Group, S.E. Railway State on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti October 2nd and the next following day. Due to lack of information many children are affected by polio disease which is incurable. Thus a campaign was organised to make the people of the community aware about the Pulse Polio initiative by the government to counter Polio Disease. A poster making competition was also organised for the members on the topic of Pulse Polio and Polio Awareness. Around 40 members participated in this Community Service Project. The Local Health Unit also supported us. The Deputy Medical Officer of our local health unit judged the posters competition and declared the winner.
