Bridging the age gap, fun activities for elderly

We used the Impacts Innovators challenge to figure out a challenge in our community and decided on Loneliness and intergenerational gaps with elders.

The patrol went though the different steps of the impact innovators challenge to figure out how to work on the challenge they had found in their local community. They ended up creating a concept of sun days for elderly by visiting homes and doing some fun activites as well as some swedish fika and general conversations.

The scouts learned many lessons in intergenerational communication, and how to plan projects in general. That most projects needs to be long term and that even though starting up something new ones the projects has started it more fun. this project will continue further as our scouts have new friends to visit in the elderly home.
