Over Night School Scout Adventure Camp at Tshimakha, Chhukha (6th -7th October 2018)

Myself and Scout Jamyang Tshultrim had planned 3 years back to organize adventure camp in school level but failed because of lack resources.
This dream was filled with full support from school administration and Dzongkhag procurement sector, Chhukha Dzongkhag . 
The aim and objectives of conducting such program is to :
1. Commemorate 50 years of Indo-Bhutan relationship.
2. Build school - community relationship 
3. Inculcate and instill values to our youth
4. Teach survival skills to our youth 
5. Build relationships among themselves 
6. learn beyond 4 walls
7. teach managing skills in difficult situation 
About 92 Nazhoen scouts, 5 scout leader , school scout commissioner (principal) and Community based scouts participated in this grand event. 
The adventurous camp started with pitching the tent, youth leaders took through the theory class of survival skills with demonstration , mind training and had Camp fire with awarding of proficiency badges to scouts and scarf to newly joined community scouts. The program continued with cultural competition and yells among Patrols. 
Second day was another new learning for our scouts. The day started with drill and Lord B.P's exercise, followed by camp inspection. After morning assembly, the real adventure started. There were around 9 adventure sites; like Birbet wire , Jacob ladder, spider web, monkey crawling, commando crossing, Trye crossing, Balance crossing, Team building ( fruit harvest) and rappeling. 
I could see, scouts having fun with so many learning through practical sessions. It was a pleasant moment for all the scouts of CCS to have such a grand program. The adventure camp was ended successfully with awarding certificates and departure song.

Hope to have similar camp in coming years !!
