Taking volunteer service in Rimdo

What inspired you to take up the project?

The inspiration behind starting this volunteer service project on spiritual Rimdo came from our deep respect for our culture, traditions, and spiritual values. We wanted to contribute to our community by helping with the Rimdo ceremony and supporting the preservation of our spiritual heritage.

What are the learnings you got from implementing this project and how would you make it better?

We learned that participating in such a spiritual activity helps us develop compassion, humility, teamwork, and respect for our traditions. This project also gave us an opportunity to learn from our teachers, serve our community, and understand the importance of preserving our cultural and spiritual values for future generations.

Where was your project implemented and how did you execute it?

First, we discussed and planned the activities with the guidance of our teachers. We then actively participated in preparing the necessary materials, arranging the place, and helping with the preparations with lamas for the Rimdo. Throughout the project, we worked together as a team, respected our spiritual traditions. Through this volunteer service, we gained valuable experience, developed a sense of responsibility, and learned the importance of preserving our Bhutanese culture and traditions.
