On 16-07-2025, the Patharghata College Rover Scout Unit organized a community clean-up campaign in the coastal area of Patharghata, Barguna, Bangladesh. This area was heavily polluted with plastic waste, food wrappers, and household garbage, posing threats to both the environment and public health. Our team of dedicated Rover Scouts initiated the clean-up activity by collecting non-degradable waste materials and disposing of them in proper waste management systems. The objective of this initiative was to raise awareness about environmental cleanliness, inspire local residents, and contribute to Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 13 - Climate Action, SDG 3 - Good Health and Well-being, and SDG 11 - Sustainable Cities and Communities). This action helped restore a cleaner and healthier environment for the local community, especially the riverbank and residential surroundings. Passersby appreciated the effort and expressed interest in joining future activities.
