Water harvesting for schools and community

Access to clean and reliable water remains a critical challenge in Mombasa County and its environs, particularly in the coastal region where freshwater sources are scarce, and reliance on expensive or unreliable water supply systems persists. This project aims to promote climate resilience through the implementation of rainwater harvesting systems in schools and communities, ensuring sustainable water access while reducing dependency on unreliable sources such as ocean water.
Our community is increasingly affected by unpredictable rainfall, prolonged dry seasons, and limited access to clean and safe water. There is an urgent need for a sustainable, affordable, and community-driven solution to harvest and store rainwater effectively.
