Turning trash into value.
The main motivation was to encourage the wolf cubs participate and learn ways to perform humanitarian aid, to take conscious about plastic use, recycling and to understand that simple action can transform clean community and planet and contribute to assist elderly.
Our Wolf Cubs collected plastic bottle caps from September 2024 to May 2025. With this action we learned about recycling, responsible consumption and ways to recycle plastic to turn trash into value. On May 31st, we visited an elderly home to donate the plastic caps to the institution named Asilo São Vicente de Paulo. This elderly home uses the donated plastic caps to change and buy geriatric diapers for the 150 elders that they take care of.
We all learned how we can prevent pollution, reduce, reuse and recycle our plastic waste. Identified a way to reuse plastic on our community and contribute to humanitarian aid. Wolfs and their families, friends and members of our scout group (Groupo Tapejara - 23) worked together to collect the plastic caps disseminating the learning on the three Rs.
