Turners Beach Cub Scouts are Messengers of Peace
The children in our Cub Scout pack donated food items to the Little Free Pantry in Ulverstone. This is like a cupboard in the Main Street that struggling families can access grocery items from. We filled the whole pantry. Inside the door there is a chalkboard where we wrote 'With Love from Turners Beach Cubs'. We will fill it again before Christmas hopefully.
We also volunteered at the local nursing home and served afternoon tea to the residents. We then played Bingo with them and talked to them about Cubs Scouts. One elderly lady talked to us about being a Browie Guide and we chatted to her for a while. We will visit the residents again before Christmas and bring them a Messengers of Peace badge, a card to say thank you and some chocolates.
