scouts join traffic control for Bengali Newyear

The Bengali New Year (Pohela Boishakh) brings a huge crowd to the streets, which often leads to heavy traffic and safety risks. As a scout, I felt a responsibility to serve the people and help maintain order. My motivation was to support the traffic authorities and ensure that everyone could celebrate this special day safely and without hassle. Our goal was to create a peaceful environment for the community
We executed the project by first identifying the most crowded intersections in our local area on the morning of Pohela Boishakh. Our scout unit of 20 members was divided into small groups and stationed at key points. We worked closely with the local traffic police to manage vehicle flow and helped pedestrians, especially children and the elderly, to cross the streets safely. We also guided people to maintain discipline during the festive rally to prevent any chaos."
Through this project, I learned the importance of patience and effective communication when dealing with a large crowd. I also gained practical experience in teamwork and leadership by coordinating with my fellow scouts and traffic officers. Most importantly, I realized how small voluntary actions can significantly contribute to public safety and community peace."
