經濟發展也同時遭受嚴重的打擊，

Nonetheless, there is a country stood out from the crowd.

然而，有個國家從中脫穎而出，

It demonstrates the ability to respond to danger and produced a methodical epidemic prevention strategy.

展現出臨危不亂的應變能力和有條不紊的防疫策略，

This is our country—Taiwan.

這，就是我們的國家——台灣。

Although early new year is approaching, in order to prevent further spread the epidemic, Taiwan made the call to cancel the original Early New Year's Eve celebrations.

新的一年即將到來，但是台灣為了防疫，不得不取消原有的跨年，

In our original idea, we wanted to invite all scouts of our group meeting to the group leader’s home. 

我們原本的計畫是希望邀清所有童軍家庭到團長的家。

We would have had a long dinner and played fun games till midnight.

將一同吃晚餐和一些有趣的遊戲直到半夜。

Instead, our Scout group decided to opt for an online party for health reasons. 而我們童軍團決定採取線上跨年，

We opened the video call in the last thirty seconds of the year, and joined each other in countdown to say goodbye to 2020, and to greet 2021 with joy.

在最後的三十秒打開視屏通話，陪同彼此倒數結束２０２０，並且歡樂迎接２０２１，

They may not be able to be by my side this year, but I am satisfied knowing that all my friends are healthy and happy every day. 

儘管今年無法親自在對方身邊，但最好的事是所有朋友都健康開心每一天。

We help pupils by taking body temperatures.

 I also help the hospital by writing the TOCC.

我也到醫院協助填寫TOCC表。

That is also a scout’s responsibility to protect the health of human being, and bring peace to the earth. 這也是童軍保護人類健康並為地球帶來和平的責任。

In 2020, a lot of bad things happened in the world, especially covid-19, which brought not only disease but also death and fear. 

2020年，世界上發生了很多壞事。 特別是covid-19，它不僅帶來疾病，還帶來死亡和恐懼。

In 2021, I believe that if all countries could join forces and put our hearts together, bad luck will pass away, and good fortune will follow us whole the year.

我相信，在2021年，如果所有國家都能團結起來，團結我們的心。 不幸將過去，且整年都會有好運。
