Rescue and Firefighting Assist by Rover Scout
As a rover scout and a citizen service and emergency response is first priority. Scouting teach us to prepare for service. I was inspired to start a rescue and firefighting as a Rover Scout because I wanted to make a positive impact in my community. Witnessing the dedication of first responders sparked my passion for emergency preparedness, and safety and helping others.
As a rover scout in the Dhanmondi 5 rescue and firefight was very risky, we collaborated with the fire service to assist in rescue operations, provide first aid, and support crowd management. My role was guiding people to safety, distributing water and supplies water, and ensuring smooth coordination between the fire service and the public during the emergency response. Getting people out from this horrible situation safely was our priority task.
I learned the importance of quick decision-making, effective teamwork, quick response, and clear communication in emergency situations. It also reinforced the value of community preparedness, staying calm under pressure, and the critical role volunteers play in supporting professional responders. How to collaborate with other professionals and support them as much as I can from my side.
