reduce, recycle and reuse

The motivation for this project was to inspire the Cub Scouts of the Baloo Pack to take better care of our nature through simple, everyday actions that each of us can do. By reusing and recycling materials, the Cubs learn how small choices can make a big difference, helping to prevent plastic waste from ending up in nature, causing floods, or harming animals that live in the oceans.

Cub Scout Emanoella Adele Coelho de Oliveira created a Material Reuse Station for her Reduce, Recycle, and Reuse Badge in the Baloo Pack, coordinated by Scoutmaster Gisele Coelho. The station encouraged Cubs to bring clean, reusable items from home and quickly proved successful, with materials reused in activities like making bee traps and camp tools. The initiative remains active, promoting creativity, teamwork, and sustainability within the Pack.

The main lesson learned from this project was that small individual actions can have a big impact when everyone works together as a team. When united, these small efforts create meaningful change. If every person on the planet learns to reduce, recycle, and reuse, we can help keep nature preserved and ensure that animals are better protected. This project showed that even the smallest contributions matter when they come from the heart and are shared by all.
