Prosthetic Limb and arm Donation Drive
The lack of access to prosthetic limbs in many communities and the profound impact they can have on the lives of individuals inspired me to organize a prosthetic limb donation drive for SDGs. I realized that donating prosthetic legs and arms is a meaningful and life-changing action that aligns with SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), helping to restore mobility and independence to those in need.
We partnered with a rehabilitation center and prosthetic manufacturers to organize a limb donation drive. The event was promoted through social media, posters, and community outreach. On the day, medical professionals conducted screenings, fittings, and training, while volunteers provided support. Donors received certificates of appreciation, and we shared success stories to inspire more contributions.
The drive highlighted the importance of mobility, boosting confidence and independence for individuals with disabilities. It also showcased the power of collaboration in creating positive change.
