The 29th Dublin scout section did some bagpacking in our local shopping centre to help raise funds, in conjunction with The Irish Hospice Sunflower Days, for our local hospice service. We got in touch with our local hospice in Blackrock and offered our assistance in anyway we could. The hospice fund raising coordinator asked us to man the tills in Tesco Mount Merrion on Friday June 6th and Sunday June 8th. They supplied us all with bright Sunflower tee shirts and we set off to help pack busy shoppers groceries. Over the course of the weekend we logged over 70 hours raising funds for local hospice services and telling people all about our local scout group.
