Iba Scouts Take Root for Change

We are not just planting trees — we are planting hope. Each seedling we put in the ground is a promise to care for our planet, to protect the air we breathe, the shade we rest under, and the beauty we see around us. As Scouts, we are called to serve, to lead, and to leave the world better than we found it.We plant not just for ourselves, but for the generations that will follow our trail.

On July 26, 2025, two unit leaders, together with 14 male and 13 female scouts from Iba Integrated School, proudly participated in a simultaneous tree planting activity as part of the Global Earth Tribe Movement. Before the activity, the scouts were briefed on proper tree planting procedures, and parental consent was secured. Twenty Fruit-bearing trees seedlings were generously donated by the City Local Environment and Natural Resources Office.

“As an IBA Scout, I’ve learned our vital role in conserving nature and we pledge to uphold this responsibility with dedication and pride.” -Precious Mae Marban, Iba Scouts Scribe “Joining the tree planting activity was a wonderful experience. I’m happy knowing that I was able to help the environment and make a small difference for the future.” -Rona Rose Sacahan, Iba Scouts Peacemaker.
