Enhancing Youth's Solutions for Road Safety
Road safety--especially pedestrian's safety on road, still has many issues to be solved. The youth also have an issue and opportunity with this. It is the critical period of being driver/rider, and the solution spirit. Me and some Scout partners who have engaged with pedestrian national organization want to take a leap to bridge the government agency, practitioners, youth (Scouts), and youth to have a strategic partnership for road safety.
With some communications with the government agency, pedestrian organization, and other road safety stakeholders before, we have the chance to arrange sessions of road safety literacy building and solutions brainstorming with 100 high school students in Jakarta. Also conveyed some Scout frameworks and values to be considered by them to arrange solutions, there are still some following field projects to implement their solutions.
This project gives new insights to us about innovative ideas for road safety solutions. Besides many youth and high school students that are known involved in road fatalities, there are hopes by another to gives the solutions to it.
