Basic first aid training for Venture Scouts

Basic first aid training for Venture Scouts

IN PREPARATION of addressing any emergency situation, Brunei Darussalam Scouts Association (PPNBD) through its Venture Scout Section organised basic first aid training for Venture Scout members from government secondary schools nationwide at the PPNBD’s Headquarter recently.

The training is hoped to provide knowledge on first aid and it’s also one of the contents for Venture Scouts Leadership Course.

The two-day course saw 28 Venture Scout members from nine schools taking part, led by Skipper Sunardi bin Haji Ibrahim.

The schools are Pengiran Anak Puteri Hajah Masna Secondary School, Sayyidina Abu Bakar Secondary School, Menglait Secondary School, Berakas Secondary School, Raja Isteri Girls High School (STPRI), Rimba Secondary School, Anthony Abell College, Chung Hwa Middle School and St Andrew’s School.

The training covered methods on how to treat light injuries and provide first aid assistance. Providing early basic first aid can save lives in a life-threatening situation such as heavy bleeding, heart failure and burns.
