The Blackhawk Area Council in Illinois, USA is hosting a virtual campout this weekend, April 3-5. Do to the shelter in place orders across the country, we have been struggling with adjusting to working from home or being laid off and schools being closed. We also have,sadly, had to postpone or cancel all in person scouting activities. Then a handful of volunteers came up with the idea to host a virtual campout. The campout is an event on facebook where scout families can share pictures or videos while camping this weekend. This is an event open to anyone interested and all are encouraged to post videos of scouting skills, campfire songs, skits, and crafts.
