Scouts celebrating Peace through traditional games

What inspired you to take up the project?

I was inspired to start this project because I believe peace begins with small actions in our own community. International Peace Day gave us the chance to come together as scouts, promote friendship, and celebrate harmony through traditional games. By engaging in this activity, we wanted to spread the message that unity, respect, and teamwork are the foundation for a peaceful and sustainable world.

What are the learnings you got from implementing this project and how would you make it better?

Through this project, I learned that peace can be built through simple acts of unity and cooperation. Playing traditional games showed us the value of teamwork, respect, and cultural preservation. I also realized that when scouts come together, we can spread positive messages and inspire others to work towards the SDGs. Most importantly, I learned that peace begins with us, and even small efforts can make a big difference.

Where was your project implemented and how did you execute it?

We executed our project on International Peace Day by gathering 230 scouts at school. The program began with a short introduction about the importance of peace, followed by fun and meaningful traditional games. These activities encouraged teamwork, friendship, and harmony among the scouts. The event was smoothly organized with the guidance of scout leaders, and everyone participated actively, making the day truly peaceful and memorable.
