Campfire Chefs
“Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth" by Muhammad Ali. The two days camp within the school students were great. We helped out in the kitchen and in every way possible. The joy of having run to the eating station when it was breakfast, lunch or dinner time was something else.
There were hardships but all that mattered at the end of the day was the friends and memories I made in the way. To talk more about the volunteer time,The camp started 26th July and we as volunteers also reported bright and early where we right away started working on the food for our junior campers. During free times, we also joined the campers in various activities but we were mostly cooking. The day ended with the camp fire where we watched the campers perform. The next day also bright and early at 5am and we got started on breakfast right away while the campers were jogging. At the end of the second day, I was glad it was over but I left the school with a heavy heart cause I knew that these memory won’t be returning back any time soon.
