We are two young teenagers. Emil Julius at the age of 16 and Mikkel Overbeck who is 17. We are both passionated and engaged in a better future for the world. We both come from Esbjerg in Denmark and walked for a more desirable future. On a day to day basis, we already try to make a difference by being scouts/guides at “Hjertingspejderne” in Hjerting. Our goal was to walk over 200 km from Esbjerg to Aalborg to gather money for better sustainable and affordable energy. To support one of UNs 17 sustainable development goals, we chose with you to walk for goal 7, “Affordable and clean energy”.

People born in Bangladesh, Kenya, Mexico and many more countries need to grow up with sustainable and responsible accretion. They need to have access to energy, clean water and healthiness. They need to experience growth in jobs, that secure them and their children an education, healthy lifestyle and a good environment for the next generations. We can contribute to a better world.

We completed our trip with 250 km in our legs and very heavy bags. We gathered over 2.434 Dollars in on our short trip where we met a lot of inspiring people and had an amazing trip. We worked on this project for over half a year due to all the legal documents. We were so happy to support the world with our little non-profit organization!
