1st Sarawak Scout Messenger of Peace and Serapi Climbaton & Malaysia Scout Day 2017 is organized in conjunction with the First Messenger of Peace(MoP) National Gathering aimed to promote and strengten unity and peace among scouts and as scouts are the messenger of peace. It is also to create awareness on the importance of conserving and preserving the flora and fauna in Sarawak and indirectly promotes Sarawak as a tourism destinations to the world through scouts. This program entrusted by Persekutuan Pengakap Malaysia to its Sarawak Branch is scheduled on 6th August 2017 at Taman Negara Kubah, Matang will gather more than 1500 scouts and local folks in conjunction with the Malaysia Scout Day National Level Celebration which will be host by the Malaysia Scouts Association, Sarawak Branch in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, Culture, Youth & Sports Sarawak. This Messenger of Peace Climbaton will create another history in scouting movement in Malaysia as the Malaysia Scouts Association, Sarawak Branch is the first to organize such climbaton in Malaysia where more than 1000 scouts all across malaysia will climb the Serapi Mount together. The Celebration will be officiated by the Honourable Datuk Haji Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, the Minister of Tourism, Arts, Culture, Youth and Sports Sarawak while the National Chief Scout, Tan Sri Datuk Sri Paduka Dr Haji Shafie Salleh, and National Chief Scout Commissioner, Major General(Rtd) Prof Datuk Dr Zin Bidin, will also be attending. Scouts from throughout Malaysia, Indonesiq and Brunei will take part in this program. The program is also supported by Sarawak Energy, Yayasan Sarawak, Sarawak Forestry Corporation(SFC) , Jabatan Bomba dan Penyelamat Malaysia, One Tailor, Sarawak Economic Development Corporation(SEDC), Jabatan Pendidikan Negeri Sarawak and few other organizations. ..::Persekutuan Pengakap Malaysia Cawangan Sarawak::..
