International women's day was celebrated on 8th march 2016 with great signifiance and meaningfulness in our V.P.S.Highschool, Lonavla,,,.400 women were invited and welcomed with rose by the guides. Besides the women 200 guides of our school also attended the function. 50 women parents who have always encourage their daughters and sons to participate in various activities related to scouting were specially feliciated on this day at this function. A special programme of two hours was organised by scout guide units of our V.P.S Highschool in which Mr.Hemant Patil of Nandurbar purformed by playing harmonium,poems, singing songs related to mother, father, daughter relationship which was very touching and brought tears to the eyes of one and all. He also balanced these emotions with humour. The programme concluded by assembling all the guides and women on the ground forming the symbol of International women's day. We also feliciated 20 female teachers in present of 1500 students on this day. 400 women and 200 guides service = 600*4=2400 5 school officers service = 5*4=20 10 scouts and my service = 11*10=110 1500 students and 50 staff members service = 1550*1=1550 Total service hours = 4080
