UAP Gulayan sa Paaralan ng Nueva Ecija HS
It all started with a simple tap of the new school head of Nueva Ecija High School- an incumbent Gulayan sa Paaralan Best Implementor in the previous year. The need to create green space which is consumable to all the members of the school community is indeed a challenge to take.
The Gulayan sa Paaralan initiative began with planning and meeting sessions involving school administrators, teachers, parents, and student leaders. Students, teachers, parents, and the school community headed by its School Principal IV Aurora Aguila, worked hand in hand to prepare the soil, construct planting beds, and plant various vegetables. Teachers willingly extended their assistance during their free time which made the service extra special.
The learning include proper communication and designation of tasks to the young people is vital in teaching them not only on how to make green spaces but also leadership. It also opened doors of share d commitment with the stakeholders since this is a school-wide activity.
