The Assistant commissioner taking his keen interest and personal guidance for the camp, the core group members were headed by Mr. Namgyal Dorji and Mr. Tshewang Thinley, Scout Secretaries and Leader Scouts (Mr. Jamyang Chophel, Mr. Sangay Tshering, Ms. Damchu Wangmo and Ms. Lhalung Dema) along with the scout leaders from different schools. The camp brought together almost 172 Scouts (86 Boys and 86 Girls) and 22 Scout Master and Community based scouting leader from different schools (Cub and scouts) within Dzongkhag together to share, experience and learn from the camp life. It was first time for most of the scouts and gave much fun and education for many scouts, by the time the camp was over, they wanted to stay back for few more days. The Camp teaches us to appreciate and learn “Bhutanese way of Life” and teaching us of Being Buddhist, beside it helped to build a strong bond of brotherhood amongst the scouts. We chose Jangchubling as our camp site it is one of sacred and historic place in Lhuentse Dzongkhag. The Lam of Jangchubling and Lopens rendered us full support so that we are able to carry out the camp successfully.
