Solar Games Station: Jamboree Libya 2025
We were inspired to start this project by our passion for renewable energy and our commitment to educating young people about sustainability. At the 5th Libyan National Jamboree, we wanted to create an interactive way for scouts to discover how solar power can be part of their everyday lives. Our goal was to combine fun, learning, and environmental awareness through games that show the power of the sun in action.
We designed and built a Solar Games Station that included interactive solar-powered activities. The station was set up at the jamboree and run by a dedicated team who guided participants through the games, explained how solar energy works, and encouraged reflection on its role in a sustainable future. By combining play and education, the project gave scouts a hands-on experience of clean energy in a simple and memorable way.
Through this project, I learned how powerful interactive activities can be in raising awareness about sustainability. I realized that youth engage more deeply when they can learn by doing rather than only listening. I also learned the importance of teamwork and preparation in delivering a smooth experience to hundreds of participants. Most importantly, I saw how fun and play can inspire young people to think about renewable energy as a real solution for the future.
