Sharing the Mask of Peace

The Seoul Northern Federation Rover Scout Regional Council planned and implemented mask sharing events last year, and the Seoul Northern Federation delivered masks to the Aichi Federation in recognition of the situation in Japan, which was struggling to the Aichi Federation. We received many thank-you letters and postcards from Roverscouts and Scouts of the Aichi Federation and learned that I could overcome difficult situations together even if we was far away.

Our project was planned at Seoul Innovation Park in Seoul, Korea. Knowing that we can gain understanding and peace through exchange and cooperation, we held a pre-meeting based on the history and meaning education of the Korea-Japan Rover to overcome the difficulties faced by both Korea and Japan. In order to share and practice the message of peace to many people, the Seoul Northern Federation Rover and 1002troop have prepared an "on-line exhibition of Korea-Japan scout exchanges."

We held an online exhibition of Korea-Japan Mask Exchange Letter. The exhibition was conducted in compliance with social distancing and quarantine rules, and local residents participated as visitors to the exhibition to share their thoughts on peace. We also organized a program to learn MOP dance together, and produced these processes as a video. We will also post it on SNS and send a message about peace to more people.
We have learned through a series of processes that 'together' is important for peace. It is also important for individuals to think about peace, but we could also see that even the smallest actions can be done first for others and lead to good results. We need to act with more people, share the results, and share more to make this a better way.
