Scouts for Sacred Tradition
As a Scout, I felt inspired to serve during the sacred Kovil Kumbabishegam. It was a unique chance to support a spiritual event, help the community, and uphold our cultural heritage. My goal was to serve with dedication and live the Scout promise in action.
We teamed up with temple staff to support the Kumbabishegam event. Our duties included guiding devotees, helping elders, managing the crowd, and keeping the area clean. Working in shifts, we ensured the event ran smoothly with discipline and devotion.
I learned the value of teamwork, time management, and staying calm in crowded situations. Supporting elders and guiding people taught me patience and communication skills. Most importantly, I understood how service can strengthen our connection to culture and community.
