THE Brunei Darussalam Scouts Association (PPNBD) marked the fourth anniversary of the association’s Tree Planting Day at the Tutong District Scouts Association Headquarters.

A programme to raise awareness on the importance of environmental protection and conservation was organised among scout members.

The programme is part of the Messenger of Peace initiative along with the Tree Planting Day programme launched in 2014.

The Messenger of Peace initiative was launched by the World Organisation of Scout Movement (WOSM) for scouts around the world.

Present at the event were PPNBD Scout Chief Commissioner Haji Badar bin Haji Mohd Ali, Chairman of the Tutong District Scouts Association Haji Musa bin Haji Libut, Acting Tutong District Scout Commissioner ACP (Rtd) Haji Murad bin Haji Abdul Haji, PPNBD Tree Planting Project Manager Haji Othman bin Durani, assistant district commissioners and scout leaders.
