Renovation of old monastery
My inspiration for renovating the old monastery stemmed from a desire to preserve its historical and spiritual significance. Witnessing its decline, I was driven to ensure its beauty and tranquility could be experienced by future generations. It was a blend of historical respect and a commitment to safeguarding a place of peace that motivated me
The project commenced with an early morning gathering at changlingmithiang gound stadium in Thimphu at 6:00 a.m. From there, we proceeded to the monastery, where we enjoyed tea provided by the monastery. The day's work involved whitewashing the old monastery and hoisting 108 prayer flags. Despite the scale of the task, we completed the work by 6:00 p.m. that evening
Through this project, I learned the importance of meticulous planning and the value of teamwork. I also realized that effective communication is crucial for coordinating tasks and resolving unexpected challenges. Moreover, I gained a deeper appreciation for the significance of preserving cultural heritage and the impact of community involvement in such endeavors."
