The Monarch Project - Pack 18

Our Cub Scouts are promoting community awarness, conservation, and beauty to our 1950's era scouting area at South Gate Park.  Our Monarch butterflies are seriously endangered due to pesticides and loss of habitat.  We have planted milkweed, and wild flowers around our huts, and have been designated a Monarch Butterfly Waystation.  Our pack earned the Good Turn Conservation Award, and a Messenger of Peace award for their efforts.
