Meet and Build
Motivated by the call to spread awareness on the scouting movements' advocacies, the scouts and scout leaders of Sta. Barbara National High School and Juan Basangan National High School collaborated and met with the newly-elected Mayor of the Municipality of San Antonio, Province of Nueva Ecija- Hon. Angelita Salonga-Esquivel.
The objective was clear -to create a community of advocates, call and at the same time extend assistance from and to stakeholders. The activity, as anticipated, opened a line of support between the local government unit of San Antonio and linked same visions of service as the scout leaders shared some of the activities that we are currently dealing about. The activity does not only prove the power of communication but also unity when clearly shared with others.
During the visit, the honorable Mayor share her insights about some activities that could possibly be conducted for the benefit of the community, some of which the scouting movement is already into. From her note, the scouts and scout leaders learned how important being active members of the community really is and that simple act of kindness can make a huge difference.
