1st Strandfontein Scouts assisted Little People Play and Learn centre situated at Pelican Heights, in Mitchells Plain. The centre which caters for children with autism relies on donations and very minimum fees from parents. The centre provides feeding programmes and onsite training for parents and care givers living with special needs children. The Scouts helped the centre by fixing their roof which was leaking, they also enlarged their play area by creating a library and donated educational sensory toys. The Principal of the centre thanked the Scouts for their continued support and wishes to nature the relationship with the Scout group.
