Lets create a better tomorrow

Plastic & Polythene pollute our land and water. Since they are so lightweight, plastic bags can travel long distances by wind and water. They litter our beautiful country, get caught in fences and trees, float around in waterways, and can eventually make their way into the world’s oceans. Plastic & Polythene is a cause for cancer too. If we can create a world without harmful plastic & polythene, then we can live healthy.
The project was conducted in school, Sussex College, Kandy. The guidance were given by our principal, scout mistress, parents & our scout troop. As a scout troop we planned to do a wall painting which shows the results of marine pollution. By this wall painting, we expect to give this message to general public. Parallel to the wall painting, we used plastic bottles to build a creative gate, plastic bottle troop name board & bottle planters.
The selected location was faced to the road. Therefore, the focus group is not limited to students. Since the huge number of people passing this location everyday, we can pass our message to them as well. Because of this innovative idea, it is easily eye catching the people towards this plastic reusing project. We hope to practice themselves and use the harmful waste in a useful way.
